Maybe you should wander over to V3 and try the computer there. It has a "coach" mode that might be useful to you until you get better. That's Try the new Chess.com at the bottom of every page.

Holy crap the bot difficulty level 1 is way too over powered like my god it's starting to piss me off. It's pretty much impossible for a guy like me who's not so good at chess to win against the lowest level bot. Like come on
