Hi Jay, I like to play 1e4 with white. If my opponent plays 1e4 as well, then I like 2Ne2 (Alapin). Often, black will reply with the more standard 2Nf3. Then I like to play 3g3 and 4Bg2 (assuming no threats pop up). Apparently, no master has ever played these 4 first moves. Maybe someone can tell me why. I don't think it is so bad. So this opening needs a name.... I'm not very creative.

I was going to call it that (Chris's opening) but I thought it was too boring. Looks like none of us are creative happy.png. I was hoping it would get the name of some fierce animal, like the Tiger tooth opening. happy.png

Ware Opening: Shuttled Rook Variation

White Abandons control over the center, and instead, focuses on the offensive on the queenside defensively, risking the left area of the board.

I didn't make this opening (Tartakower was already playing it more than 80 years ago), but I have given it a name.

Behold the Drunken Knight Gambit!

White will play Ra3, swing the Rook over to the King's side, and then play b3. All of the White pieces will attack Black's King.
