Mikhail Tal vs Bobby Fischer vs Alexander Alekhine !?

What do you think is the main differences between those players?

Most people only think Bobby Fischer is the best , why? What about Tal and Alekhine are they much weaker or something? What separates them?

ESP-918

We only talk about this particular players thx.

Hypothetically speaking who do you think will win if they had to play each other?

urk
They all played sharply and brilliantly and they would score games against each other. Fischer was the most accurate and had the best endgame, and we know he went up a level over Tal. Would be nice to see Alekhine score wins against Fischer and Tal, but I think Fischer developed the greatest skill of the three of them. By 1970 he was just a machine.

Interesting and knowledgeable answer urk, but can you please collaborate a bit more on "Fischer went up a level over Tal"

Fischer and Tal played several games in the 1960s and Tal didn't win any of those. After one loss to Fischer he said "it's hard to play against Einstein's theory." Haha

I have the greatest respect for Miguel Najdorf but to see the way Fischer outplayed him is just amazing. Another level.

I thought Fischer and Tal had the same score isn't it? Can you post some links where I can see their overall score between them two

ESP-918

Also can you please post a game Najdorf vs Fischer that particular amazing game that you are talking about

Tal beat Fischer 4 times when he was a young kid, but in the 1960s, never.
Two wins for Fischer with 5 draws.

I only had a dim recollection of the game but I guess I was thinking of this one.

I think Fischer was 18 at the time.

It says :

Bobby Fischer in general had good scores against his fellow World Champions. Only Tal had a plus score against him; while Euwe and Botvinnik had tied scores. Fischer had plus scores against Smyslov, Petrosian, and Spassky

ESP-918

Mikhail Tal beat Robert James Fischer 4 to 2, with 5 draws

ESP-918

I'm so confused now with all that when Fisher was young, when Tal was young , 1960 bla bla .

What is overall score between them from the time they were born and played their first game in kidder garden?

ESP-918

Out of all the games they played since begging overall score

I wouldn't say Alekhine is definitely weaker than Fischer. If nothing else Alekhine won the World Championship 4 times, the last 3 times by huge margins (against Capablanca it was also a decent margin, but I wouldn't call it huge). Tal, on the other hand, won the championship the same number of times as Fischer, and was not as dominant at his peak.

urk
You just listed it.
Tal +4 -2 =5

I'm saying Fischer at his peak was pretty far beyond every other player. Kasparov says the gap was huge.
ESP-918

So if we take each player at their peak I guess Bobby takes it all
