Do they get paid or are they just volunteers, and how do you become one?

Lou-for-you

Not paid. You volunteer.

macer75

Hmmm... sounds interesting. How do I apply?

macer75

O, and before I apply, I have an important question: can a mod un-delete posts that other mods have deleted?

Goldname

I don't think so macer.

Thanks for your support! And I like the name Trod. It's very recognizable.

I'm starting to think that I should start a campaign on the forums. Now... what should my campaign slogan be?

Goldname

Well does anybody know? Where do I sign up, because I also need a part time job.

pelly13

Moderators are mostly unemployed dictators , you first have to torture and kill a lot of people. You can ask harryz , his application didn't get through although he's been practising a lot on his own threads.

netzach

An unpaid thankless job deleting idiot's swear words?

They don't take kids so you can forget it macer!

Goldname

Lmao pelly13 that is a very accurate description of mods.

Goldname

No netzach. Swear words, first of all are blocked in the first place. Moderators just delete whatever they feel like deleting, and people who actually do swear are left alone. they're just like real life cops.

netzach

And over eighteen @GeorgeBlockChess. )

Wait... ur saying that Harryz applied to become a mod? If that is true, then I'm so glad that chess.com didn't accept his application!

I don't understand what them not accepting kids has to do with me.

Goldname

So nobody knows.
