Seemed reasonable to me. But I don't talk to a lot of GM's, so I'm really just guessing.
Topalov seems like an angry guy, and most wealthy guys in Bulgaria are connected. So it seems like a potentially explosive situation when you meet him across the board. Never know when a well-executed positional sac is going to find you waking up next to a disembodied horse head.
Polgar and Carlsen both have those beady little eyes, so I just think they're up to something.

The Grandmaster that his peers like the least is probably Veselin Topalov. When Topalov qualified for the World Championship final, Kramnik, Carlsen, Kasparov, Ivanchuk, and a slew of other GMs volunteered to help Anand! Topalov had his team of seconds, access to Bulgaria's strongest super-computer, and help from the creator of Rybka.
Carlsen doesn't appear to be disliked by his peers. He appears to be a target because he's clearly the best player in the world.

carlsen did modeling for gstar with liv tyler u can find pics of magnus with his who-stole-my-cookies face as drensch, i think, would say... gstar/chess.com did this magnus v the world event in new york, people voted on chess.com from 3 candidate moves selected by gms, which ever got the most votes got played by magnus... magnus not surprisingly won.
carlsen is fairly well liked imo... seems like a cool guy, mostly.

i was looking at the characters of our current top GM's and i thought do these guys have enemies amongest themselves you know for example when ivanchuk is paired with a certain GM does he go like WTF! Not this guy :) who is the most feared or hated GM today?
