I don't think so. I use Logitech G102 wired one and it has a maximum dpi of 8000. I always set it around 6000 for bullet. So, for me, higher the dpi , better the bullet games! Also depends on monitor size I guess. If you are playing on a bigger screen , then higher dpi feels good while playing bullet .

I too use laptop only. I set it around 6000. But, the exact number isn't that important. It always feels good if you have higher dpi especially in bullet games. I mentioned about screen size because there are $200 dollars mouse in the market which have dpi upto 25000. So, that much dpi isn't required for laptops. If you have 21 or 24" monitor, you might need more DPI. In such case, those expensive mouses come handy

I am not sure about other mouses. But, for brands like Logitech , Razor, Steelseries, they have their own software where you customize everything including dpi. But, the maximum dpi can be found in specifications only. So, I would suggest you to search in specifications to find it out.

Compared to other gaming mouses, I fell it's quite slow. I mean you can play bullet also with that. But, more dpi feels much better for speed chess. I am sure, if you play with any faster mouse than the current one, you will never come back to the slower one. Actually, I also had some Dell wireless mouse before I got Logitech. I had thought, that Dell mouse was very good and fast, but once I started using Logitech , I understood how fast you can play with such gaming mouses.

If it squeaks it’s fast enough
