Searching for Bobby Fischer is well made though the final chess game is awful. The Seventh Seal has the best chess scene ever. The very best is Queen’s Gambit.
Queen's Gambit is a huge pile of bs, unrealistic, romanticizing drug and alcohol usage
Plus the main character has very uncanny look, Idk if that's the haircut (wig?) or make-up, but it's clear that they did a pretty bad job. I mean what is this, just look at it
Two less well known, but very good, movies about chess are: Queen to Play and Critical Thinking.

Good lord, what an awful take. Audiences and critics alike had high praise for Queen's Gambit and the lead actress was one of the major reasons why. Happy to discuss further why I'm right and you're very, very wrong. Cheers.
