My Game Was Published in Chess Life

I arrived to my local chess club a few hours early and since I had just gotten the new Chess Life I was excited to sit down and play through some of the games.  My favorite column besides Solitare Chess is GM Lev Alburt's column where he takes amatuer games  and analyzes them.  I looked at the opening and saw that it was the King's Indian Defense (one of my favorites) and as I started setting up my board to play through it I glanced and caught the names of the players and realized that Holy Crap, it was me.  I had submitted my game back in December and it was now in front of me in Chess Life.  When I had submitted it I had never really expected to see it published.  This was a pretty cool feeling.  To top it off, I ended up winning my game tongiht and now it is my birthday.  

I couldn't ask for a better birthday present.

Look for the fourth game.  I was black playing against Alexander Hollins. 

First off...nice...congratulations that's cool...

Secondly...as a 1400 level player myself (only 20 odd games here though but anyway)...I'm more than a little worried that you can name an opening...King's Indian Defense...and then go on to say it's one of your favourites...like you know a swag of openings.

My chess board has hinges and all I know about openings is...unlatching and opening the board...

End of attempted comedy...I'm weary...

As as an aside, Lev Alburt's book A Fresh Look at Chess: 40 Instructive Games, Played and Annotated by Players Like You is a collection of amateur annotated games with additional comments from Lev. I'm enjoying it right now.
