A move is only illegal if you catch it.
My opponent cheated in a tournament! Can I get the result nullified?
No cop-a, no stop-a

What if an observer sees a player make an illegal move, but the players don't catch it. Is the observer obligated to tell them?

Yes, he has to point it out.

Spectators can't interefere with the game whatsoever. If they do they could get thrown out of the tournament. I once saw a parent get banned from the tournament hall because he told his son he had forgotten to hit his clock.

I like this one. AHAHAHHAHHAHHAHHAHAHHHAA

If he knew how to speak English, he would know that drawing out the 'g' sound like that woule make you sound like you stutter.
He, of course, should have drawn out the 'a'.
