my opponent is currently on vacation in daily chess (3 day limit) but he continues to make moves against other players he only has 33 minutes left in game to move how do I see how much vacation time he has left?

^^ There's no reason to be rude.  He asked a simple question.  Go to the game and look on the info page.  It says your opponent has 7 days left of vacation.

where do I find this page. I spent a good portion of my afternoon looking for it already

If you go to the game, there's a tab on the right of the movelist.  Clicking that shows how much time your opponent has.

One of my opponents has been on vacation for about 2 months... Is it an unlimited thing, or...?

It depends how long you have been a paying member and how much you have used previously I think. I have never seen anyone with more than 3 months vacation time.

I tried pushing the tab. it didn't work for me. it might be a membership thing

Have you tried sending him a ecard asking whether everything is straight and you are busy waiting for him to cum back?

Rominator425

well I learned two things today... one...I'm never playing this opponent again. Two... the mobile app for this site is garbage... I had to go to the website itself because the information tabs on the mobile site don't work. when I logged in I found 7 alerts (from previous forum posts) and 2 moves that I was never informed about.

Thank you to all who helped me to figure this out. I finally have a way to find how much vacation time is left.

Don't ever start a game with Mtsai90. he's been abandoning a large portion of his challenges without resigning.

My opponent is about to lose, I think that's why he/she is on vacation. I checked how much time is left for vacation, it is showing "2 Months"....Terrible!!! (I am sure before that I will force myself to resign because I don't like pending games). This is not acceptable. Chess.com should make some rules of vacation. (Chess.com should not always support those who pay them, I mean premium members)

This vacation business is just a complete shambles, and should be scrapped completely. It just encourages players to misuse it for their own ends , and is one of the worst ideas that chess.com has ever come up with . 😤👎

If a player leaves the game for what ever reason, and fail to return before their time runs out , then they lose the game and none of this ridiculous on “ vacation “ nonsense ! 😤

Vacation times should, without a doubt, be gone from daily chess.

Postponing games when going on vacation is not invented by chess.com. It is pretty much a universal rule of correspondence/daily chess.

You kids apparently cannot understand that some people have things and responsibilities in their lives outside of chess, and those things can sometimes make it impossible to keep playing without breaks. Once you grow up, you'll understand.

And if you believe someone is abusing it, you can report them.

Chess.com should just scrap correspondence chess all together .
