Why IS this thread still going? MODS are sleeping? I thought "cc takes cheating very seriously. Any discussion of cheating....", etc etc
my opponent is stupid

And I want to clarify that not everyone posting here has been vengeful, but some have been, and clearly expressed enjoyment towards this. And that's not okay...

Would this be written by a 1900 rapid user?

lol

I think people cheat simply because they need a (fake) sensation that they are superior, they need others to tell them "Wow! You are such a good player!!", and that make them feel better about themselves, even though they understand it is all a farse.
They prefer to live in a fantasy world where they are actually good, instead of living in the real world where they realize that there are many much better than them.

Sounds good to me! Are you sure you should be encouraging cheating in this way?!

Yeah, but that would work only with an audio. If there is a video, you can very easily tell if it is the actual person the one who is playing or if there is playback involved.
Even in movies about violinists (Red violin for example), you can see that the way the actor moves his hands or fingers do not coincide at all with the sound you are listening.
Of course there are exceptions like "The Devil's violinist", where David Garrett is the protagonist, and he is a very very good violinist in real life.

This game was clearly played between two engines, probably neither of which were Stockfish:

Lucas Chess/Stockfish 8 Indexes indicate the game got higher ratings than those for the Carlsen-Karjakin WC match (high 80's %ages):
Chess.com agrees this is an elite game:

LOL, but at the end of the day they are just fooling themselves.
They may feel great for a short period of time, but deep inside them they know they are losers who can't win anything without cheating.
They may have a high virtual rating, but it is all an illusion.
It is like going to a TableDance, the ladies will PRETEND that they like you so much and are so interested in your life. You may feel really cool about it, but reality is that they don't give a damn about you and the only thing that happens is that you spent a lot of money.
Same here, you cheat and you may feel that you are so great. But no, in reality you are garbage who at the end the only thing you achieved is getting the ban.
Ignoring is obviously better than giving him attention. But this is what happened.
I am still amazed at how his parents allowed him to create a chess.com account, chesskid was better for him.
Probably they are the typical 21st century parents that think giving your kids the latest Iphone is the same as giving them love and attention.
Well who knows if he is indeed a 13 year old.
But if he is, well maybe his parents spend a lot of time working and do not care about what their son is doing on the Internet. (Specially if they are the kind of parents who struggle with new technologies, they don't have the desire to even figure out how to know what your son is watching on the Internet).
But probably we are going too far. He is maybe actually a 30 year old with a very low self esteem.
