I use it endearingly or when I'm joking. A lot of words sound silly to different people lol. I feel like the best stories with friends use "Bro" at least once. To be fair that is only my own personal expierence.

I just want to know why it seems that chess.com matches me up with players way above my lvl when I hit a certain point then they match me up with people way below my lvl when I fall to a certain lvl. If your an 850 player why are you playing some one that is a 1200 player

Sometimes, a cashier at the grocery calls me honey. Some middle-aged women call all children and men by that term. The likelihood that I will be called that is inversely proportional to the education level of the cashier.
Bro is similar, especially in social media.
I'm a strong believer in the benefits of chess, but everything has its time and place. The same discipline that one needs to sit tight and really concentrate to defend a difficult position in an OTB tournament game is also required to put one's toys away and do school work. And if kids don't have the discipline to do that, then they're probably only playing bullet and therefore not learning anything.
