I recently borrowed a copy of Nimzovich's "My System" from the library to improve my game, since I have about a month off before I have to go back to school. I've been having trouble going through the book, though, since he uses the really old notation instead of algebraic.
For example, instead of "e4", it would say "P-K4". Since I'm not used to this notation, it takes me a really long time to go through the positions and games from the book. Since there are so many examples in the book that use this notation, I'm using more time figuring out where to move the pieces than I am actually analyzing and improving my game.
Does anyone know of any versions of the book that uses algebraic notation, or if one even exists? Both of the copies I found at the library use this old notation.
