My ULTIMATUM

Sort:
cheater_1

Now, don't everyone get all bent out of shape by thinking, "Who is he to make demands? Another cheater_1 trolling attempt. He's lucky he's still got an account here". Blah Blah Blah. I am issuing an ULTIMATUM, but this ultimatum's terms are subject to negotiation. I'm willing to give a little.

Sometime in Early September, my chess program CANNIBAL will be updated to its 37th version. It is still too early to tell how much, if at all, it has improved during Looooong time limit games. Oh, I could just load up Rybka or Fritz and say its complete, but why would I waste all my VALUABLE time concocting this scenario? Anyway, I DEMAND that this site issue me a vote chess REMATCH game sometime in September.....or else.......

Or else what? you say. Well, here are my terms (subject to negotiation). I have proclaimed (and still do) that  NO PERSON, GROUP OF PERSONS, or COMPUTER PROGRAMS in the known universe can checkmate my UBER PROGRAM: CANNIBAL. I am still, after over a DECADE of internet play.... UNMATEABLE.

I propose a NO RESIGNATION match where the game MUST only end in a checkmate, 50 move rule, 3 fold repitition, or stalemate. The game MUST be played out til the end...NO RESIGNATION. Team chess.com's SOLE objective is to checkmate me (impossible) and my sole objective is to remain UNMATEABLE. Team chess.com can play as it did before as a team of many players, or it can nominate a real life GM to play as its champion, or it can dig out DEEP BLUE to play for it. It doesnt matter to me.

Now, for the PRIZE. If team chess.com can manage to checkmate me, then I will delete the cheater_1 name from this site within 60 seconds of losing..or ERIK can delete it IMMEDIATELY. Now, who's to say that I wont come back as ghostofcheater_1 (I can see the people scrambling to make that name now) or something like that? There really is no way of banning me from coming here again, seeing it is impossible to ban my IP address because I use a RANDOMIZER--a different IP address every time. But, at least the cheater_1 name will be GONE FOREVER.

However, if I manage to stay UNMATEABLE (I will) then this site becomes forfeit. It gets signed over to me. ERIK is GONE FOR GOOD and I BECOME CEO of chess.com.

HA. I actually have a sense of humor. If I remain UNMATED, then I get to remain as an active poster on this site without the CONSTANT threats in my email box from the admin of being banned or deleted. I cant take the threats ANYMORE. I'm walking on eggshells here. My creativity is being STIFLED.

IN conclusion: a vote chess game sometime in September. No resignation. Checkmate me and this account is DELETED. Fail to checkmate me and I get to stay....MINUS the harrassment. If, by some odd reason, the users of this site do not want to play me again out of fear or just pain spite, then......well, er ah, umm, then......ah.....then......ACH! let's be honest..what the hell can I do to you all anyway? If you fail to play me it's just because you all HATE to have a good time (the last game had its positive moments, that's for sure) or, you all just take some sort of perverse pleasure from denying people of what they want. Either way, it looks bad for you...and I will make it know everyday to everyone here. No, that's not some sort of threat. I know I'm giving you ammunition here, but I CALL IT LIKE I SEE IT.

What's it gonna be, people? You got over a MONTH to hash it out amongst yourselves. 1300 vs 1. What are you afraid of?

I say we beat this guy a second time. it will be humorous, plus with the leadership of such players as Webgogs it would be a great learning opportunity for us weaker players.Wink

*chuckles* Ahhh i've missed chess.com and the banter that goes on here, im glad to be back again. Best chess site on the net! :)

NB. I won't apologise fer enjoying a chuckle or two that the masked one gives me (and the verbal swordplay Erik and a few other eloquent people reply with).

I'd not mind seeing this go ahead.

I feel like I'm not missing much - I don't read any of this poster's comments. Right, I just post in the topics.

I wouldn't mind playing another game... it was fun! His long posts about nothing are what Yell me! Hey cheater, if chess.com doesn't agree, play a game against the Advanced Chess group!

CutPriceKarpov

Interesting proposition but do you really think it won't lose to Deep Blue if you played it? This guy sounds a little mad...

Ultimatum's are not negotiable...

I say he is just wanting to test his machine's abilities. To be truthful, I'm glad he's here. It adds fun to the site. To be honest, we should let him win just so he will stay, minus the harrassment. lol. Smile

VedaSlade

i love how he says in his profile 'i have the most complex personality that one can have.'

Before I start, I'd just like to say that this isn't one of those posts that highlights the glaring inconsistencies in Cheater_1's rants by quoting several different threads where he says something like "I love chess" then "I hate chess".

Rather than that, I am genuinely confused by something. We have been repeatedly informed of Cannibal's unmateability by "NO PERSON, GROUP OF PERSONS, or COMPUTER PROGRAMS in the known universe" and yet he openly posts details of his program's performance against various chess engines in which it has lost not 1, but the majority of games.

I am all for a rematch as the last game was interesting, but I'd just like to clarify how much of a challenge it will be? You say you've never lost a game, but you appear to have lost many. And whilst I have no doubt that your house is loaded choc full with hardware, I doubt that you can produce the equivalent amount of processor time that the 1300 or so people on this site can manage collectively. So if Cannibal has lost to CM on numerous occasions when it's run on your hardware, how will it not lose to all of the available chess software in the world run on 1300 different systems? Obviously, this is the reason for you taunting us with your unmateability. By doing so, you hope to set up a situation in which a draw for you is actually a win.

Achieving a draw against the combined might of Chess.com is a laudable goal, and one that I would be mightily impressed if you achieved (I don't think you will). Likewise, I find the concept of designing an engine that will play not to lose rather than play to win very interesting. However, we should recognise that the two objectives are funadmentally different. In my mind, when building a perfect or ideal chess engine, presumably one of its initial axioms should be that it tries its hardest to win? What your constant claims of unmateability actually imply to me is that right from the start you are admitting that Cannibal isn't as good as the combined forces of chess.com.

Bring on the game....... in the words of the infamous Ivan Drago "You will lose".

deadpoetic

Don't give this guy a rematch...

You were just saying how you would leave if we didn't make life more intersting for you here on chess.com. So by not giving you the game you should be leaving anyways.

Let this guy just get bored, im tired of these rants.

Or else said: let this website get boring?

Give him his rematch! It adds excitement to the website Smile

deadpoetic

This website isn't boring to those of us that enjoy playing chess...

Its constantly getting better with updates (love the team vote chess update btw) but this guy isn't satisfied with what this place has to offer...

The problem I have with the rematch is that even if he draws he gets what he wants.. If he changed it to if its a draw things stay the same then i say w/e let him have the rematch.
