New analysis mode detecting cheaters?

So the new analysis is giving an estimated elo and it’s perplexing how many 500/600 elo players are playing between 1300/1700 elo estimated and how many of them are playing high 80’s/low 90’s accuracy.
What’s your opinion on this?
I keep reporting but nothing is done with it, probably because I keep reporting 🤓

Are people really this good? What’s going on here?

Are they tankijg games to stay in the low brackets?

DuncanSpencer1

I don't think 80+ accuracy and an end of game rating of 1300-1700 is anything unusual for a 600 rated player. I do that quite often myself and I'm 600 - I'm still rubbish though.

based on your name, I'm going to assume you're a troll

I’m not a troll, just curious why it is so damned hard to find an equal match on this platform

You have a 52% win rate, which means you're on average playing people slightly worse than you.

People have good games and play above their level sometimes. Also, sometimes positions are really simple and it's easy to get high accuracy. It's not unreasonable for a 500/600 rated player to get an estimate of 1300 for a single game.

Yes, I'm a 500 elo. Sometimes I get 80-100 accuracy with 1300 elo. I don't cheat

Rating estimate is not a serious tool. It usually overestimates player strength.

Real, I see someone play the scholar's mate and get 1700-1800 elo (as I remember)

At sixty-seven years of age, I have dropped a couple of hundred points in rating (2/3 games, blitz) recently. So, I am left wondering if the dementia is kicking in, or...

I used to think that playing blitz made the software a non-issue, but I doubt that now. Honestly, I know I am mediocre at best, and it is not as if I am losing money or ego if I play and lose to a cheater.

Still, which is it? A bit of both? It is hard for me to imagine someone with a similarly low rating (1100's) seeing the point in cheating . My wish to be a 1600 player would relate to a better class of player with whom one does not experience bad behavior. It is kinda hilarious how people at my skill level tend to act out.

That’s quite normal. I have 900 rating but in review sometimes I play like 1850

blueemu

I've had the occasional 2650-rated game.

... and my rating is high enough that my games would be examined once in a while. I wouldn't last long if I was a cheater.

Bizzarityyy

How many times do people need to be told that estimated rating is a lie???

TraffiGuy

It´s getting really annoyng those cheaters in low elo. i guess that 50% or more from 2022 acc are cheaters in some way.

Accuracy numbers are not absolute measures. They were changed several years ago to be curved based on ratings.

That means that a 98% accuracy for a 500 rated player is not the same as a 98% for a 2000.

And the after -game Elo estimate is not supposed to be a real Elo estimate. It doesn't look at the moves and estimate a rating. You can plug a different rating into the pgn and when you analyze the game, the same exact moves will result in an estimated rating for a 1000 rated player that is 500 points better than the estimate for a 500 rated player.

The fact that none of the people you have reported for cheating have been confirmed to be cheating should be reassuring to you.
