Hi Guys, Let me know how you get on.Post it here.

I have found now 2 new web site/s that estimate what your chess rating should be at! It(they) is free to take and only takes about 5 minutes to assess your chess competency.

check it out on this link:

http://www.elometer.net

and now also

 http://www.chessmaniac.com/ELORating/ELO_Chess_Rating.shtml

then post your score on here.

Personally, the second test is damn near perfect estimate but the first test has lots of critics bout 'over-estimating' scores.

Looking at the other comments I'm guessing it's slightly inflated, unless Elo ratings aren't as good as chess.com ratings

1599?

Looks like a lot of work, no thanks.

And how does OP know that it's accurate?  Because it estimates your rating higher than what you have?

blitzcopter

2060 with 95% confidence interval [1880, 2241]. USCF is about 2100.

Same question as Rivani though...

BigFishLittlePawn

1480 but what exactly does this equate to?

limber_up

1451, something's amiss.

I havent worried about my rating in years, and the standard answer at a tournamnet was always "I dont know" when asked.

TheDeepOne

Based on your move choices, our estimate of your Elo rating is 1735, with a 95% confidence interval of[1530...1939].

well that is odd, considering my Chess.com blitz rating is only about 950, although I have won 9 of my last 10

1760...Why does it make your rating somewhat higher?

time limit of 30 seconds is a wee bit stingy

Guys I found an even better one!

The great thing about this site is that the more you test, the more accurate your rating is! In theory you can use it thousands of times and it only gets more accurate! Check it out:

Makholm

It estimates my Elo to be 1825, eventhough my blitz here is (currently) 1345, and my old FIDE Elo (haven't played a rated tournement game for nearly 2 years), is 1531 ... seems a wee bit off

I guess another factor to consider is how seriously you take the test. For example, I played my moves in the first 3-5 seconds to get the thing over with.
