It's not an automatic draw, it has to be claimed. If there is a threefold repetition, you can simply click "Draw" to claim the draw, but if both players want to play on, they are allowed to do so.

Because the official rules of chess say that a draw has to be claimed and is not automatic. The site just follows the official rules.
I think its an automatic draw on other sites.
Why does is 3 fold repetition of position/ moves is not an automatic draw here in chess.com? I lost a few games bn time because auto draw doest not work here.
