Has the app been updated? I cannot find where to select the time limit for a random game online. The default is 10 minutes on the Android App. Are only 10 min games allowed on the Android App?

You hit the time control, it's a button, and it will give you preset options.
If you want something other than the presets, click More.. and from there you can use Custom to create a control
Somebody else had this problem last week. It's not obvious how to get to a place to change the time control without starting a game.
You have to hit "New Game" to be offered the chance to change the time control.
I understand the confusion. I unintentionally started several games before I figured it out.

As soon as you create a Custom Game, the top default changes to that. I recently tested a Daily game and now mine is a 7 day per move Daliy game.
