Suck it up folks…life isn't always fair! just move on to your next opponent.
Of course you owe a rematch

They're fun! Although there are too few people trying to claim you do owe a rematch under pain of death to make this one fun. There's no point in everyone taking a rational opinion :P

Well, if you're tired or sleepy or have to get up to take care of business, then it's time to go. There is a chance you'll meet again.

If I get 2 draws in a row against an opponent I demand the opportunity to lose against them in a rematch. They owe it to me!!

About 90% of my re-match challengers come from opponents I have just beaten, rather than lost to. I consider this desire to play the same opponent again is more their problem than mine. Generally I review my games for a minute or two after they've ended. If the challengers waited that long I might consider them. They never do.

I personally don't care if you take games so personally that you can't stand not getting a rematch from me. As far as I'm concerned, I don't care if my wins and losses come against "John316" or "David811." It seems to me that if it bothers you that much, you have some sort of insecurity issue that I don't really want to encourage. So no. No rematch.
Not to mention that in a lot of "revenge" matches, my opponent seems to play about 800-1000 rating points better than they did in the first one.

I granted a rematch a couple of days ago because my opponent immediately resigned after a devastating mouse slip. Had he played on, as I do, I would have moved on to another opponent after the game.

Weird little rules people have like this... but I'll do that too. If they play a few more moves I don't care, but if it was trivially lost on move 20 and they play till move 50 it becomes a big waste of time to play a long series with that person.
Which lately has been what I prefer. Win or lose, if we do a rematch, it's more fun to play 8-10 games than just 2 or 3.

As I've said at least one hundred times in forum threads like this one. DO NOT expect a rematch from me, but if I find the game interesting and balanced, and I have time, I may play a wholotta games with you. 95% of the time, I'm either done after a game, or more likely have already clicked new game, seeking another opponent. Some players who I play repeatedly never get a rematch. We'll play on Tuesday, then Thursday, then again in three months, ...

Anyone who thinks something is completely foolproof is underestimating the ingenuity of complete fools, to paraphrase Douglas Adams!

It was an overstatement/joke
I do however love it.
I've found a fool proof opening as black.

I don't agree with the OP that I owe anyone a rematch. When I play live chess, I generally play rapid (15|10), so a game potentially constitutes a 30-40 minute commitment for me. As a student, I often choose to play games during my lunch break or in between classes. Should I skip a class because someone I beat wants to rematch? I think not. There are a lot of things more important than an online chess game.
I do agree, however, that it is sportsmanlike to accept a rematch if I intend to play another game, but instituting any sort of mechanism that penalizes players for declining a rematch doesn't take into consideration the reality that sometimes people would rather get back to reality than play another game of online chess.
