Hi,
There are a lot of ways to introduce your class to chess! Firstly, if your students are very young, consider having them play on chesskid.com instead, which is just an extension of chess.com designed just for kids. The site theme is more kid friendly, and the environment will be very safe. If you have them signed up here, I would definitely recommend you create a private Club (you can easily do this through the 'connect' tab on the left) and invite your students to the club. From there you can organise scheduled events (tournaments etc) with your club members, and take it from there! Otherwise, things like puzzle battle, puzzle rush, and just live chess in general will be fun as well
Hello all,
I am a high school English teacher and a wrestling coach. For obvious reasons, many of traditional activities for high school students will be limited for the 2020-2021 school year. Although this is deeply sad, I think it is a wonderful opportunity to expose the students at my high school to the game of chess.
To start I'm looking for a way that I can use Chess.com to provide an interactive and fun way for my students to be involved in school club.
What's the best way to do this? Any insights would be appreciated!
