Opponent is forcing a draw per repetition

Basically the opponent knows that will lose because lose some pieces and start to force a draw making check and over and over without an objective. I have been many times in this situation It is not fair to finalize the game as a draw. Is there any way to ban or make a complain about this kind of player? thank you.

Yes. Invent a time machine and then go back 134 years to stop the threefold repetition draw rule from being agreed on at the London international tournament of 1883.

Your castling was a blunder.

Too many people complaining draw by repetition is not fair. It is fair. The way to win in chess is by capturing the king of the opponent and looking at your game, you are never able to do that if he repeats his moves

In other words, you want to change the rules!  I've been in a position where if I didn't force a repetition of position I would be at a disadvantage so it do it - it is part of the game!

It's called "Perpetual Check", and if you don't like it, get a better position by playing better.

So unfair when your opponent can force a draw

Monie49
Wow! You have a winning position and the best your opponent can do is play for a draw! Awesome!

I agree, it is unfair and such people should be banned. The same with players who try to win when playing me, I find it very unsporting. It really is not fair to end the game in a win (unless it's my win, of course). Something should be done about this.

gingerninja2003

something even worse happened to me. i was having a good game and won a minor piece because he blundered but then a few moves later he checkmated me. how dare he win this is happened

for those without eyes i can confirm that i'm making a joke about the OP's stupidity. that the opponent is merely trying to get the best out of a lost position. in reality he should've played better and stopped it from happening. i request that he change the title to "my opponent is drawing a lost position because i'm playing badly!"

@gingerninja2003 actually your opponent is not blundered. Your K*h7 is disaster and of course it cause for winning your opponent. You have a piece up doesn't mean you must win the game in which you have material advantage.

read the text in white.

I find it even more unfair when the opponent put me in a situation where I cant move the king away from a check. Where can I complain about such players ? There are really a LOT of them on this site!

Now I've seen everything:

People complain:

  • When they win games
  • When they lose games
  • And according to OP drawing a is also an issue.

No one should checkmate me.  Not fair.

I totally agree. Only draws should be allowed to prevent snowflakeritis.
