I was wondering if there are opponents from a certain country that are the toughest to face on chess.com?

Mine is probably from phillipines.

For me the hardest is Indonesia 🇮🇩. The easiest to beat is Japan 🇯🇵
TheUnderDog001

Why is Indonesia the hardest lol

marqumax
I lost some games last week against them so now I have some negative memories about them

Yeah people from phillipines and indosnesia, their openings are quite bland, but i think they play middlegame and endgame very well

TheUnderDog001

Yeah I agree sid. Their openings are weird

TheUnderDog001

But for me Russians are hard because they never fall for traps and always play principally and methodically.

sid0049

I dont think their openings are weird, but they just mostly play natural moves without theory in my opinion

Higher rated russians are tough to beat.... but similar rated are a walk in the park generally

When i was 1400-1600, indians were super tough...

Nowadays they blunder queens sometimes, so i am not sure.

The toughest are from International, on top of that, I have no idea where their country is located, but they must have great chess schools there.
