OTB : Carbonsless scoresheets and USCF Sales

I have ordered a chess clock, and am now rounding up scoresheets and such. I have two concerns.

First of all, when you hand in your score sheet, do you ever get it back ? If not, how many of you use the carbonless copy scoresheets from USCF ? Or a Monroi ? I ask because I wonder how that would work out, if I wanted to review my tournament performance immediately after the tourney. I can;t imagine every location would have a copy machine....

Oh, and also, does anyone know exactly where Crossville, Tennessee is ? USCF Sales wanted to charge $10 S&H for a scorepad and a mousepad board, total value $11. I am like, "WTF!?!?" because I live in Ohio, and Tennessee is not all that far.... I mean, it's only on the other side of Kentucky, and only takes 4 hours to get into Memphis, so I wonder where they are shipping their stuff from. I do know that there is a patch of the South in the northern Arkansas/eastern Tennessee/western North Carolina mounatins where there is an extra day added on to the fufillment of parcels due to the remoteness, but still, I am wondering if those S&H charges are par for the course or what.....

Any ideas ?

Depends on the tournament. In large weekend tournaments (over 100 players) sometimes there is a request that you turn in a scoresheet. Usually if they want a scoresheet they will supply you with a carbonless scoresheet. (For instance, the top boards in the open section ... even then they have to twist arms to get anyone to turn them in!) If there are prizes for best games, then you could always rewrite the scoresheet and turn it in. Otherwise, I always have just an ordinary scoresheet supplied by the organizers or my own scorebook. Enjoy the tournament and don't sweat the small stuff.

I see... I was under the impression that the TD would collect the scoresheets. If not, then that situation resolves itself. Thanks !
