Over the board chess

I never played chess when I was younger and started on chess.com dipping down to the 300s. I'm now 1900 on rapid but when I play friends over 500 ratings below me over the board, I struggle to find anything and always narrowly escape with a win just by capitalising on a blunder. Does anyone know why this is the case and how I can get better over board?

I wish I could but people I know seem to have become disgusting gambling addicts instead of cracking down and focusing on their chess. Do you have any advice on how to fix these degenerates?

I would recommend attending local chess clubs, however, I know a few people, cough cough, who are a little bit autistic who make struggle with social interaction so if you are too scared don't worry. I'm also sure your gambling friends are making lots of money and are on their way to financial freedom so I wouldn't worry about them.
