I disagree with the idea of promoting to a king: it's about getting your king to the other side, not some fake one. But, I will gladly represent pancakes.

Wafflegambit and pancaitz are banned, I have those engines, I can just compare the moves and catch cheaters chess.com style.
@eches06 No. This is between pancakes and waffles, so....desole, pas crepes. Unless you are willing to say crepes are a kind of pancakes 
which I would disagree and still let you play for pancakes.
I do like crepes. But not pancakes, not even those really thin pancakes.

Team Pancakes please. I'm well-studied in the Bongcloud Attack Conquistador Exchange variation. Just don't pair me up with ReasonableDoubt. He's no fun.
Actually, I would like to withdraw if the promote a pawn to a king rule is going to be kept.

@theoreticalboy I will ask what people think about this rule then. If majority likes it will be kept, you can withdraw, but it may be an automatic loss for your team if your team can't get a substitute

I think it should be the King and the King alone. The pawn promotion rule encourages players to play a normal game and then just advance a pawn. I think that runs contrary to the spirit of the Bongcloud Attack. What Would Lenny Do?
I would also encourage players to play 1. e4 e5 2. Ke2 Ke7 - I think it's only right that we fully embrace the Bongcloud.
To actually prove which is better, I decided a match is needed, the idea is probably stolen from Conquistador's Bongcloud Invitational, but this is different :)
This is a match, you just have to sign up for Team Waffle or Team Pancake, 4 players a side are needed, maximum 8 per side.
Rules:
1.This can be played on Live chess(If you can arrange a time to play with your opponent), after the games, you just have to post the link here to prove you just scored a point for your team. If you don't play live or can't make it to play the same time as your opponent, then play Correspondance. Make sure all games are unrated.
Bongcloud, Breakfast Rules:
Note: This is different from the standard rules, so pay attention!
1.Goal is to march your king to the other side, however, if your opponent reaches the end right after you, the game is then considered a draw!
2.RULE DELETED
3.A checkmate is considered a defeat for the side giving it.
I will post the pairings when the sign-ups are finished.
If one side lacks players, then it means the side that lacks players forfeit automatically and will be proved to be inferior(Most likely,waffles)
Goal of this is simply to follow up my scientific study of waffles vs pancakes and see which is better.

(IF I catch you using any breakfast engines e.g Wafflegambit, Pancaitz, you will be disqualified and a point will be subtracted from your team.)
1 more rule: You MUST eat pancakes/waffles depends on what you are representing before live games, and every 10 moves of turn-based.
