Paralysis by analysis?

I'm relatively new to chess.com, and have been experiencing a problem I'm sure isn't unique. When playing online, when a move posts and it's my turn I use the analysis board fairly extensively, arguably projecting too far out - especially early in games. This is a fantastic learning tool, as it helps me identify mistakes along with opportunities, but it also sometimes leads to despair.

If I make a mistake and my opponent's move highlights it, as I go through possible scenarios I often find myself thinking a game is hopeless far earlier than is likely, as I discover combinations my opponents *should* make in response to my possible responses that lead to hopeless situations. This despair then hangs over the entire game, whether my opponent follows the victorious plan I've laid out for them in my head or not, and leads to further mistakes.

Has anyone else experienced this and come up with ways beyond "take your lumps, play it out and hope for the best" to cope? I hate playing out a game that already feels lost, even knowing mistakes happen on both sides of the board at the level I'm currently at (<1500).
