Park Chess-player picks up the pieces

If you think Oregon is all hippies and peace and love, check out Dolinger's blog. He's a neo-Nazi. His mission is to save the world from "the Jews." He blogs regularly, and even published an autobiographical book 3 years ago. His tone doesn't come off as mentally unbalanced -- just bigoted and evil. (As someone once said about Bobhy Fischer on a thread somewhere: do his hateful beliefs mean he is insane? Many sane people believe those things.)
What I found most interesting is that the laudatory newspaper articles invariably whitewash (cover up) this aspect of Dolinger -- which if you read his own writings, seems to be what gives meaning to his life. In fact that same Ashland paper that ran this particular story actuslly endorsed this neo-Nazi when he ran for a City Council seat in 2006! Peace and love, indeed!

I found his blog too and calling him "mentally unbalanced" was an attempt to charitably excuse his writings.

Interesting piece about Randy Dolinger, a mentally unbalanced homeless chess-player living in Oregon. Dolinger was North Carolina state champion in 1971.
