Hello , I am at beginner level approximately Elo 650. I am trying to make my Elo go up but I am really stuck I never reach the 700. recently so I finally pushed myself to learn the openings . I start with old English attaque for white and benonie for black. I have some difficulty with chassable because it's not giving to me the name of the variation that I am doing on the English attack . Is there a website or someone that knows about English attack that could give me the name of this variation. on chassable and just have number 1 to 10. or someone maybe know where I can find it ? also I would like to know if someone stronger than me would like to play with me and give me some tips for improving on a regular basis . I don't have the money but at list I have some time to invest in the game.

I can play. I don’t really study openings, but I am pretty good with tactics and some positional ideas.

For players below 1200 two openings are often recommended: the London for white and the Pirc for black. Because they’re light on theory and as a low rated player it makes no sense to study much theory. I play the jobava London because it’s a bit more offensive (see Chess Vibes for tricks) and the Czech Pirc because Robert Martinez made a few inspiring video’s about it on YT.

"I am at beginner level approximately Elo 650" ++ Blunder check before you move.

"I finally pushed myself to learn the openings" ++ A bad idea

"old English attaque for white and benonie for black" ++ OK

"not giving to me the name of the variation" ++ Does not matter.

"tips for improving on a regular basis" ++ Analyse your lost games.

"I don't have the money" ++ No money needed, only time and effort.

"I have some time to invest in the game" ++ Good.

Thanks for all your answers, neutralrob I will add you as friends to play some games ;) . Doezelhaas thanks also for the advice, il will look at the openings you talk about. My goal was at list to not do the same opening of the other players because I guess it's can give me more chance if my opponent don't know well my opening. Maybe I am thinking bad ahah. The Benoni is really hard to remember there is so mutch variation like 41 lol but il like it. Also to be clear I don't ask the help for free of a master I just ask some advice or a player a little bit more strong than me to play with me. Have a nice game all of you :)

Makes sense. I have two additional pieces of advice: (1) do puzzles every day (2) if you don’t know about forks, pins, skewers and discovered attacks, do some lessons on these tactical concepts.
