Pawn Sacrifice, Anyone?

I can't find this movie anywhere, and I would like to see it at long last. (I know, tons of people here say it stinks.)

I've seen postings here that it was on Netflix, but I couldn't find it, nor could my 10 year-old who knows about these things.

I've come across sites which appear to be not legally accessible in the US, or are otherwise questionable, so those are not options.

I'm the only one in my house who is interested in chess, so my best bet is to find it online and watch it on my laptop. 

Any help would be appreciated.

YouTube has it but you have to pay.

I can't fault a chess fan for wanting to see it, though I was definitely disappointed.  It's on Netflix here in Canada.  Not sure if it's also on US Netflix.

urk knows how to spell opinion, but few share his. There are better things to watch, though. The movie is severely flawed. I accepted many irregularities for artistic purposes, but when they got to game six of the World Championship, the errors were too severe. The movie broke my heart.

You can watch it for free on putlocker, but I couldn't make it past the "Morphy committed suicide" scene.  The movie had very, very little to do with reality.

It's a good movie but if you want to watch chess i would recommend watching some GM's play instead.

It is a travesty of the truth. It misrepresents both Fischer and Spassky, misunderstands the actual chess, does not even feature many people that were prominent in Fischer's development as a chess player and in the 1972 match, ... need I go on.

To those of us that lived through that period and followed events live, as they happened, it was a huge disappointment.

But we should have expected nothing better from Hollywood.  Their record of making nonsense of the true events of people's lives goes back a long way.  Houdini did not die from one of his escapes going wrong, and Chopin's relationship with LIszt was nothing like it was portrayed in the Bio-pic about him, if better sources of history are to be believed.

Come to think of it, what is to be expected from an industry that turned one of the biggest Genocides in history into a cowboys and Indians story with the Cowboys and the Cavalry as the good guys?
