Does anyone happen to know a free program to convert PDF files to TXT files(or similar)?
I use the free OpenPDF to convert PDF to Word Docs (or WordPad). Provided you have MS Word installed, you can then save as plain text.

You already might have solved your problem, but I might be able to help you. I have Adobe Acrobat Professional(shareware), and it can convert PDF into a readable PDF file(OCR - Optical Character Recognition). If you want to make some PDF into readable ones, you can send it to me and I would convert it.
