They don't take to kindly to folks talking about people cheating around here. But I agree with you 100% as I'm ducking out and slipping away into the darkness, hoping not to be seen.....
People cheating in Daily chess.

Clearly cheating is easiest in daily and there is something of a culture around it since much of correspondence chess allows the use of engines.
That said it is easy to think cheating is occuring when it is not. I’ve played 4 daily games. During the games I suspected cheating in 2 of them. However, after the fact it was clear I was mistaken in both instances.
It is natural to look for excuses for why we lose instead of looking in the mirror and accepting that our poor play was the cause.

I've not been on here long, however, today realised daily chess for me is a waste of time.
Re Daily chess - when you analyse some games, some players do far too many 'Excellent' moves. I wonder why.
Reason - are they cheating, possibly? Too easy to use an app? Perhaps even throw in a few inaccuracies, if you're far enough ahead - to make it look like you're not cheating (after all you don't want to get caught out right?)?
I realise some will disagree, and call me names (I saw that on another thread about cheating). That's fine - might mean those throwing the names are cheats as well maybe?
Of course I feel for all the honest players, as well as Chess.com - it must be very difficult to manage cheats, with so many games played each day - they have my sympathy, as after all this a honest business they're trying to run, but you can't control millions of people playing tens of thousands of games each day.
Also, I first thought the 3 min blitz chess was crazy. But now I get why so many, especially the top titled players, tend to do the blitz stuff, and not daily chess. I think because it's far too tricky to cheat in a 3 min game? Especially tricky in a 1 or 2 min game. So, I'll try the Blitz 3 min games. I need to practice first though with my millennium chess genius, to get quicker.
You are going to see that every where. One option that works moderately well with Daily chess is to make your moves at odd hours and about 8 hours apart. Odd hours so your opponent cannot easily set up electronic "counter measures" to your moves; and the 8 hours apart is the time most people work at the job, usually sitting in front of a computer.
Another option is to set your settings for any challenge to be +/- 75 of your ranking. And before you accept the challenge, look at the challenger's past history.
Lastly, accept that people will use artificial help to win a game, Keep your integrity intact, accept the lose, and move on to the next player. Eventually you will meet people who you can trust, who will beat you without any outside help. These people you will eventually call friends.

I take your point re thinking someone may be cheating, when they aren't - but note some more detail below re my experience with the opponent from Turkey (no offence to anyone from Turkey, but it allows you to see who I mean, from my history).
I select the daily chess option where you get a random opponent - I have a look at their last few games. Well - the last person I got (from Turkey), the number of excellent moves they had was incredible. You'd think they were Magnus C (better probably).
About 9/10 of my moves into the game (by me), I realised this person is incredible (or are they using an app?). So, I decided to analyse the game, and then test them, by playing the rest of my moves (another 25 or so, up to move 35/36 for me) with Hiarcs max strength - so 3,100 elo ! [Please do not do this; this could also be considered cheating and could result in your account being closed. - MOD] My intention being to reveal this to them, and pass it on to the support team to check with the fair play team, which I've since done today (including telling them about my test using Hiarcs). As well as resign the game with the said opponent (from Turkey) - which I've done, they got points, and I told them why.
The person was still beating me (they were around +2.5 and going up fast - I was going to lose for sure), even though I was using 3100 elo. They were definitely cheating (it's not about me - my bad play, and a mirror). I challenged them on this, they denied it, and was pretty nasty back.
Anyhow, although I realise some people don't like the subject, as you say, clearly cheating in daily is easier. It's put me off daily for sure, and frankly I'm not so sure about anything over 10 minutes (maybe even 5 mins).
I do think therefore, I'll practice 3 min blitz, which I think will be very hard (almost impossible maybe, once you get to a certain level of skill) to be cheated in - anyone using an app, will likely run out of time first.

This is why i will not play Daily Chess here anymore.

Some good points NYCosmos. I'm going to give daily a miss though. The cheating can be done easily from a mobile (cell) smart phone.

I only play daily games and to the best of my knowledge, i haven't played a cheater although it's certainly possible. If a cheater measures his self worth by winning while cheating, he's not much of an individual. also, what's the point?

I play daily chess until I have played chess in 12 months, (training) , and next is to play live chess , I dont care what other people do in daily chess, I just follow my plan ! maybe it is easy to cheat in daily chess, but why ? there is nothing to win, and what if you one day get 5000 in rating, and you get famous, and magnus Carlsen invite you to play a game in public ? only stupid people cheat in chess, why be embarrassed over your rating ? you are what you are !!
