people who leave a game running when they are losing

what do you do

i think that just happened to me

open another browser - play another game, but keep the other game in sight just in case they come back to catch you out. Only thing I can think of.

Watch some TV, grab a beer, etc., etc. until the dirtbag loses on time....then start a new game with hopefully a more honorable opponent.

That's what I do.

And if it's a mate in 1 or 2 and they're letting their time run down, and they move with something like 5 seconds left, I also let all my time run down to 5 seconds then go ahead and mate them, that way they might think I actually left lol

Wait and win on time.  Depending on game situation, and their internet connection might give them the benefit of doubt, but if there is no doubt I block them. 

Play faster games (5/0) but otherwise just open another browser or do some cleaning up in the house while watching the computer I have waited 1 hour for someone to move once and they didn't do anything

I play 1 0 :)

I find that 1/0 is too fast for me but I could do it at least with 4/0 is my lowest

I don't play live chess anymore, but when I did it was no more than 5 5 for this very reason.
