Bishbash1....... thanks for your input I'm not sure why this topic doesn't get more play I just started playing with you guys I think this is one of the best sites I've ever been on but I get it a little backlash sometimes because the phone hinders my game sometimes phone calls come in in the middle of the game signal drops etc etc so I was curious to how you guys get around having problems when you play on your phone I'm sure I'm not the only one that plays on their Android or Apple more input would be helpful thanks guys and go..... I usually use the app for live games (all games, really), tactics, lessons, and analysis. It's very convenient. As for everything else, I pretty much use the site, especially for the features that involve a lot of information, the app might not be so convenient then.

I don't know...

Other than live games and the rest of the things that I pointed out, the website is still the most fun option to dance with. It's the flexibility, I guess.

WSama

But there's one thing I can say for sure; once you begin a game, be it on the app or the site, it all feels the same (provided that it's the same theme), which is a very good thing, the familiarity. Perhaps on the site I sometimes get lured in by the move ratings, but hey...

WSama

But it's all well done, really. Just different experiences for different moods. It definitely can't be denied though, that the site is still more flexible.

Cotton that's a great point many times I've punched a square by accident because of how small the borders I get the square next to it but the thing that bothers me most is sometimes people have posted bulshit like toxic player because the phone rang or the signal dropped and I couldn't get back into the game in time now I understand if it was tournament or a money game but in a social game in a social game where I thought lots of people are playing on their phones I don't get upset when I see game abandoned because I understand that it might be something with their phone

And when you're tapping away on the screen there's no mouse slips, a tablet preferably. The only way to do fast blitz for me. If you walked in on me you might think I was playing bubble popper or something.

WildWoofer

How much can you get a decent tablet for that seems to be the way to go

WSama

Mmh, I like the ones with smaller dimensions, for all gaming really. And because the screen is smaller, the price will also probably be easier, or more reasonable. I mean -- there's a reason why those PSP's aren't the size of a TV on your hands.

WildWoofer

Thanks sama you've been a good friend with your responses to my problem feel welcome to correspond with me anytime

Gracias......👍

With mobile, you can not post a game. Last month when I had a diamond membership, I had no acccess to opening explorer after the game, on mobile. I emailed them, they said it was not yet implemented. So it would be great if they made all features available on mobile.

I can't believe how much I've been struggling on my phone  I thought everybody was using the phone now I have to see how much better it is using an iPad if you guys could send me information on iPads and what's the best bang for my buck I'd appreciate it... Gracias.....

I only use my phone to make & receive calls and use it as little as the law will allow. My phone makes me jump when it goes off (what the hell do these ppl want now?)! I don't think my PC is operating optimally though, it went downhill the moment I foolishly 'upgraded' to Windows 10! sad.png

Pc by far better especially when it comes down to milliseconds.  Bigger screen easier to see.  I've always played on the phone and and recently switched to pc.  I hardly ever hang a piece now.

I suspect the fact that so many people use their phones and  tablets for chess is why Chessbase's income has fallen.

I reached peak rating on my phone and lost 5 consecutive games on my laptop, so I'm not sure

PC is better for playing blitz and fast games, for daily chess or puzzles etc phone is ok
