Try Learn>Openings. Pick one. Notice there are 5 little symbols just above the move list/frequency? Yep, the one that looks like a laptop; click and enjoy.
Play computer against specific opening?

Thanks, I guess I have to bump the computer level up a bit as it keeps making moves faaaar away from the main lines

There is chess software out there that even lets you start from a specific position, as well as making the computer play a specific opening.
I forgot the names, though, it's been a while, but I'm sure you can find them quite easily if you search (most are paid software, but there is 100% some freeware as well - I used one myself).

Where do we chose which opening we want to learn? All I see is this:
Also it wont let me choose black.

I want to play against a chess opening too. I think Chess.Com should create this feature. It is an important way to improve your chess.

You can use this URL to practice openings with the computer : https://www.chess.com/practice/openings
You can choose to play as black or white.
I'd like to play the computer here in order to practice a specific opening as black.
Is that possible? Do I have to manually set up a position a few moves into the opening and get the CPU to continue? How do I do that exactly if possible?
Failing that is there a way I can force the computer to play a specific opening as White so I can practice as black?
