Playing as white or black for a given rating

So for the purpose of this thread, lets say each game I played exactly to my rating. For the purpose of this lets say rating is 1000.

Being 1000 playing as white, in theory that should be a win against black at a 1000 rating, due to the tempo advantage. And playing as black the tables are reversed.

In terms of rating what difference does the tempo make? I have noticed (and it might not be the case just my perception) is when I'm playing live chess, I seem to be matched with weaker opponents when I play as black (which would make sense). I only have limited time to play chess so have been spending my time just on the one opening, naturally I went for white, but if most people have the same thought, wonder if I should be swapping for something like understanding KID instead.

The tempo advantage is not a winning advantage. Chess is most likely a draw with perfect play and the opening advantage is probably meaningless.

Do you have any evidence (interested) ? I heard that a draw playing black in a way can be considered almost a win as if you then win your white matches you win.
