Playing chess in Greece - No official OTB rating, then don't post

Does anyone have any experience playing chess in Greece? Would it be like investing in Greek government bonds? I am interested in playing in Greece as long as the benefits outweigh the risks.

Be careful, I hear if you lose they make you drink hemlock.

Please change your avatar. People think you're me, and I certainly don't want that association.

I will consider it.

I'm considering using that avatar.

Pawnstogo, change the avatar, scottrf has created it and it's the only one entitled to use it.. it's his work, our modern Warhol! Bow to the scott(rf), which happens to be one of the best toilet papers ever...use Scott!

Not his work. The site that allows you to edit the pic is available to all to use online.

Explain that to the Scott, he seems to be a little too "less intelligent" to understand...

Scottrf

It seems I have a stalker.

The irony of someone saying I'm 'too less intelligent'.

It would be polite to comply.

It would, but I don't think he is polite

Elubas

"too less intelligent" ... bizarre syntax, but perhaps it's valid?

Scottrf

Definitely not valid. Makes no sense whatsoever.

Elubas

To play devil's advocate, maybe it means you have too much of the quality of being less intelligent than someone (though we don't know who). It seems like one can have varying degrees of "less," that's why we have relative statements in the first place right?

We say things like "too bad" after all -- in the above case it's saying there is too much of a relative quality, but I'm not sure there is a clear cut problem with that.

DrSpudnik

You could just send a message to pfren.

Scottrf

You've put too more thought into this subject than me.

But seriously, any native speaker should know it's incorrect. Search any grammar forum/discussion site.

I'm too shy. Can you pm pfren on my behalf?

Elubas

Ah, the thought provoking ideas that can come from a messed up translation by a non-native speaker :)

I also like how he says "the" Scott. I would take it as a compliment.

Elubas

"But seriously, any native speaker should know it's incorrect. Search any grammar forum/discussion site."

As I'm too lazy, any sources? I'm not sure whether "too less intelligent" contradicts a grammatical rule, or whether we just out of tradition choose not to use the words in that way.

DAILYWATERSITTING

You seem to resort to memes and banal quotes made up for facebook's sht too much, sir. I suggest some books, no matter the theme or author.

I already said that judging people on a chess forum is an act of utmost stupidity. On the topic of "too less intelligent", why do you think I wrote it in " ? Come here and speak 5 languages perfectly, I bow again, Sir, to you.
Now show me another meme or a philosophical quote (??).
