Playing with bots and the board color keeps changing. Help

I am playing with bots but the chess board color keeps changing. It seems each bot has its preferred color. How can i change it to default color? Now it is red and white and my eyes are burning.

That's supposed to happen on the April bots. As far as I'm aware you can't disable it.

Actually, I take that back. Go to Settings > Themes and toggle off Enable Special Themes

Aw man you're a lifesaver. Thanks mate, my eyes were hurting playing with that bright red and bright blue board. That was too much for me, Thank you

does anyone know whether those April bot board themes are available for normal play somehow? I really like them actually (no offense to OP, if you don't like them that's totally fine)

For the past year, I have had my chosen board background colour cream/brown. This appeared for any activity I do, a live game with an opponent, against the computer bot (any bot I chose, and even when doing puzzles. But just now, when I opened my computer to that app when I'm in the bot section, it is now defaulting only there to be in green and white squares which is blinding me. So did what someone advised above - went to settings board and pieces and my board colour selection is there as it has been for the past year. And I don't any added feature to choose customize the colour for specific acitivities. And now I see the puzzle board has switched to the green and white. Only the live opponent game section still has my preferred board colour. Help!! The green and white is stressing me out!

Why do I feel that in the few hours I was not playing, Chessl.com just did an update that affected this?

same here,my puzzle only shows the white king,and the board reset to green
