@OP, you might want to take a look at Delfi Trainer. It's not free, but there's a free version that can only be set to a weak level of 1000 elo. That setting will allow you to evaluate how it plays at weak levels.

Hiarcs and Delfi Trainer are my two favs for most human-like.

EDIT - It looks like the commercial version of Delfi Trainer is no longer available.

Shredder, HIARCS and Fritz are the ones I've heard about that play most "human-like" and can adapt themselves to your strength. I have the first two but have not much tried to take advantage of this feature yet.

Oops, I just read the home page for Delfi. There's no longer a purchase link on the page, and everything is in the past tense. It looks like it may no longer be available. Hmm...

Well, looking at the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine, it looks like the paid Delfi Trainer stopped being available in October 2016. Oh well,
