PLEASE VOTE: 30/30, 30/15 or 30/10 in Version 3

If you are a standard 30 minute player, which time default would you prefer when version 3.0 is released this month:  30/30, 30/15 or 30/10 ?  The standard 30 minute game will still be available but many of us standard players find time control games more enjoyable.  There are thousands of members on this site who prefer 30 minute standard games instead of blitz games, so this is your chance to have your voice heard.  I vote 30/15.

This is too important not to put back on top of forum.  Members...this is your chess site.   All we have are two standard rating time conroled games.  45/45 or 15/10.    Doesn't 30/15 seem like a logical happy medium?  

I LIKE THE IDEA OF A 30 MINUTE GAME , OVER A 45/45 GAME .                                I THINK A  30/30  , 30/15 , 30/10 GAMES MAYBE AN IMPROVEMENT , HOWEVER , I FEEL THE BEST OPTION  WOULD BE 30 /15 .                                           I VOTE 30/15  !!!    I FEEL THIS THE BEST OPTION FOR 30 MIN. i vote for none of them. I vote for 90|30 or those type of 40 moves in 110 minutes,then 30  minutes etc.

I feel like they should a delay on the clocks instead...

30|15 would be far superior to 30min. You could just replace the 30min option with 30|15. At that length of time, you might as well have an increment so that "endgame cheapos" are eliminated. Having no increment on a long(er) time control almost defeats the purpose of the long(er) time control, that's why the increment was invented and implemented into standard chess games -- so that you don't lose due to the timer in a drawn or won position.

I vote 30|15.

Please email your friends who play 30 minute games and ask them to add their comments to this link.  Makes absolutely no sense that they have a 15/10 & 45/45 time control games and nothing for the thousands of players who love 30 minute games.  30/15 games would quickly have more players than the standard 30 minute game.

30/0 would not go away.  We are requesting a default option for the majority of 30 minute players who want a time control.  If so, which would you prefer?  The time control makes the end game more exciting and thought provoking.  Most 30 minute players want a time control. Right now we have to have to choose between 15/10 and 45/45. We find 15/10 to short & 45/45 way too long. It's illogical that the admins of a game of logic, would not add a default between these two extremes to make the majority of 30 minute players happy.  This thread will be sent to the admins so please comment if you had to choose between 30/30, 30/15, 30/10.   I still vote 30/15.

So far it looks like 30/15 is the prefered game.  I am going to keep this thread live for another week and send an email to admins & staff once voting is done.

Putting this back on top of forum due to time differences around the world and in USA.

we do read forum threads! we took a lot of thought and input and data when we added our recent time controls. in the end, we cannot please everyone as we only have 8 default times. i'm sorry!

Why can't you just add an increment to 30min? Did you ask people about adding an increment to the 30min time in your data collection and thought process?

If you're concerned about pleasing the majority, perhaps you should specifically ask if people prefer 30min or 30min with an increment.
