Thats my board
post your chess sets!!

This is mine, it's supposed to be a chess computer but it works really well as a board to play people on

My Sister made me a chess set just like exactly like yours CerebralAssassin in High School Woodshop. It was an outstanding quality work she did.My Mom made me Chess Pieces out of clay.White and Black glossy pieces. Each have a very unique style. All of the chess pieces fit perfectly on the Chess Board.

awesome guys,keep 'em comin!!
@estevon:cool...your sis must be an excellent carver!!(or did she just make the chessboard?)

Decorative sets are nice but does anyone actually play on them ? What about blitz too ? I used to like a few of the decorative sets but now all I will actually play on is staunton design sets.

My, 'Applied Concepts Morphy Encore Master Chess Computer' is a really good board to play with. All the pieces are of a simple design. The board is a bit smaller than average which makes observation of all the pieces easier (I find). A nice transition from a 2d see all board on screen to a physical board. I find that on a bigger board it is hard (for me) to take in the position as a whole.

heres a few pics of mine.....

My "good" board...but I usually use the pieces here with the next board. It's just easier to move it all about as board two folds up. The pieces for the second board are VERY light and a stiff breeze can topple them. I often play outside on my back deck. The computer board is a strong opponent when playing difficulty H6 with H8 being the hardest. I can beat H6 about one time in four. I use the computer and one of the other boards as trying to play on the tiny computer board drives me nuts.

I'll try to get some pictures up on here in the next few days, including a picture of the enormous Chess Board & Pieces Cake my girlfriend made for my birthday 2 weeks ago. :)

I have a Novag Obsidian that I think is quite sharp. (I like the wooden pieces.)
My main chess set is from ChessBaron.com (more pics here):

I use a Noble Chess Set. They are Pewter and Brass. I play on a Staunton folding wooden board but at home use a more decorative board from Noble it is Oak with inlaid leather squares.

That's cool, Keyif. The leather squares seem like the perfect match for the metal pieces. I've always had a bit of an issue with the idea of metal pieces on a wooden board.
here's mine!!
