P.S. Can't stress this enough but try to post both wins and loses if you know you have any and even draws
Post your games against Chess Titans (windows program) ?

I'm going to try to establish a close accurate rating by simply comparing it's moves to top engines and seeing overall the percentage compared to the engines

Funny thing is, I am playing Chess Titans a lot these days and was searching for info on how to save a game, I.e record the moves. But there seems to be no way to record down the moves. My estimation of it is 1650 tops. At level 10. It could be less. Chess Titans can make tactical and outright blunders even at level 10. I have mated it in about 20 moves or less. The play is very uneven and the positional evaluation is poor. As for OTB... I don't know my OTB rating (because I have no Fide rating). But if this helps, I can beat the Fritz handicap mode set at 2000 quite often. I like playing Chess Titans though, to occupy time.

Could you post one of your games against it if it's not to much trouble just by writing the moves down ?
Hi chessmaster102--I've played Chess Titans hundreds of times, along with countless rated humans/programs, and would assess it around 1600. It has minimal positional understanding, a small opening database, and very shallow lookahead; this does not place it beyond the level of any average club player. It will find most tactical/material opportunities though, putting it above the strength of a novice. Match it against the five "Vs. Computer" opponents on this site in unrated games to see how it fares. I'd definitely say 1600 is about right though.

Just a theory from the testing I've done so far but when it comes to a actual OTB rating say like USCF it's moderately close to 1600 but I can so without a doubt it's not playing at a 1600 level even on level 10, maybe high 1400s or low 1500s, not done testing but it isn't at a 1600 level that's for sure
It's difficult to judge because its style of play is a very artificial one. See how it does against Computer3-Hard though, which routinely hovers in the 1450-1600 range on here. Chess Titans is more consistent; it's programmed to find decent moves, but to only look ahead a couple ply, so it fails miserably on combinational play. The computers on here are built to throw in erratic mistakes, simple to find in slow games but frequently overlooked in bullet. Human B-players look further ahead and have better positional acumen, but they're not entirely immune to forks, pins, discoveries, or other tactical snafus. It makes it hard to compare.

Maximum level I can beat in Chess Titans is level 7. Now I don't play Chess Titans & only play against Chess.com's computer at its level 'Hard' (1600~).

i have won twice level 6 .. please do not measure its strength because it was programmed to play intresting but not the best strength ..(my best score against fruit2.1 is draw )
It is such a pity
I try recording moves like first 15 or 20 but then get excited and forget the rest ones. My assessment of Chess Titan Level 10 is as under
Opening Repertoire: Good (even level 01 plays it)
Middle Game: Good on tactics and very poor in strategic concepts
End Game: I will say that Titan Level 10 is a patzer in end game
Cant say whats it elo should be (Titan Level 10) ... but I will put it 1200 if you have a good opening repertoire. Prefer closed positions and look for plans in middle game.
I will put its elo at 1800 (Titan Level 10)..if you like open positions and look for tactical motifs. Because it acts superior and grabs one or 2 pawns by move 40 and converts it to winning.
I am a regular player on chess titans.at level 8, I ve defeated it 3 times in a row.
But the truth is Chess titans strength lies much on the hardware.on desktop I need to play really carefully to beat it.But playing on a laptop,I manage to win even at level 10.I dont have fide rating.so cant say anything about my strength.
1600 rated players do not have poor end game understanding which Titan L 10 has but for ease of reference I will put Titan L 10 strength to 1660.
When I learned chess I was contantly beaten by Titan Level 10 and check mated before the move 30. Now in my 2nd year of play the reverse is true. It is a very bad engine. Stock Fish is good.

One question for you guys. How is the programs endgame play (when equal or slightly ahead) can someone post a example ?
This program is pretty weak (even I can win against LVL10) but it is also probably the most used chess program, being included in one of the world's most used operating systems. Only if it were more helpful and more inviting to the world of chess, that would be incredible.

1387 is what it came to after all is said and done. If like to know one thing as it doesn't show on my computer. What levels does the program consider itself to play hard, moderate and easy ? I'm now moving my attention to level 9 so if you guys can give your opinion on that or/and post a game playing against it that would be great thanks. Also if possible id like to see only draws as I feel drawn games are the best to study to find someone's most consistent playing skill.
I'm working on trying to accurately assign Chess Titan a elo but I need your help. If you can please post your games versus the program, include the Level setting of the program and your rating (OTB) but if you played and recorded your games against it a bunch of times please just try and post the games you played vs the programs top 3 levels and/or bottom three levels thanks just for reading guys and I do appreciate the help.
