It depends, but most of the times I go short castle instead of long castle.
Prefer short castle or long castle?
Always short: easier to prepare: 3 moves instead of 4, no premature queen move required, the king is fine on the g-file. O-O-O takes one more move, a premature queen move to prepare and the king is unsafe on the c-file and usually must spend a move to the b-file also to protect the a-pawn. The exception is, when you want to attack with pawns: h2-h4-h5 supported by Rh1 or g2-g4-g5 supported by Rg1.

0-0-0. No doubt about it.
It's way more fun and aggressive to castle long. I only go short if I have to.

short castling looks more solid in defending wise. but choosing where to castle shouldn't be fixed decision, it's about the shape of that particular game and your plans.
Instead of using short-long castle terms you should use same-opposite side castling.

I play the London as white and I like to castle long so I can put my rooks on the G * H files and stuff a pawn storm up the king side.
