My puzzles rating is just under 2000, but my ratings for Rapid, Blitz, and Bullet are only 1000, 900, and 700 respectively.
Does this puzzle rating bode well for my ELO if I studied some openings or is it just that a high puzzle score is much easier to obtain than it seems? I find the puzzles pretty easy but struggle to find the best moves in an actual game.
TLDR puzzles are easy but chess is hard, is this normal?
High puzzle ratings are easier to obtain. In puzzles you know there's something in the position and can calculate until you find it.
In games, you have to recognize that a tactical position might be on the board, calculate under time pressure, and decide to go for it or not. You also have to be able to get into positions where tactics are possible.
