Question about this position.

I know the solution to this opening "problem" is likely obvious, but I must ask.

I really would like to avoid english opening territory after 1.Nf3 Nf6 2.c4 ( i consider 2..c5, to be some kind of sicilian after 3.Nc3 Nc6 4.d4)

so what do I do after 2..b6?

I don't want to play against the queens indian defense, so no d4, and if i play g3, something like below might happen, really screwing up my move orders, and avoiding the opening theory I am accustommed to.

After 4..e5 isnt this just some english opening stuff I wanted to avoid in the first place?

You just want the good sides of both openings, you want to take advantage of early c4 and at the same time avoid English, I'm afraid this is a big NO NO. Instead, you should play immediate 1. Nf3 Nf6 2. g3! which is truly avoidant of all territories. Then you can play d3 to block pawn to g5 attacks, lets see:

Hope it helps.

Now that I look at it, is black really supposed to play Bb7 in combination with e5 normally, as in the OP after move 4?

I have never seen this before.

I will not play 2.g3, or even 1.g3 for a long time, I'm going to stay and suffer through this.
