Yes, you can do this.
Here's how:
1) Click on the Graduation Cap --> Analysis (or go here: https://www.chess.com/analysis)
2) Click on the up/down arrow icon if you need to flip the board to see it from the opposite side
3) Play the opening moves that you want to start from
4) Click on the little computer icon on the bottom right, that says "vs" in it. This is the "Finish vs Computer" button
5) A new board opens up with your position. Click left button near the bottom, that looks like a rectangular robot head, neck, and shoulders. This is the "Change Bot" button.
6) Find the bot that you want to play against and click "Choose"
7) Voila! You're now playing the line you chose, against the bot you chose.
Let me preface this with: I know the downsides of playing against bots (sometimes they make really stupid moves, for starters). but the goodside is that it allows me to try an opening, with no time pressure, and see how it works for me. I find that the bot I am currently playing (Laura -1100) is pretty good with openings, and will play a "book line" for as long as I am playing a book line.
Here's my question: I would love to, e.g., compare playing KID to Slav Defense. I would love to be able to start my games at, say, move 4 or 5, and play from there. Is there any way to do this?
