Wdym? The game has Indian origins. So are you going to call us racist for creating such rules? And then you remember that we are "brown" in your classification... see, perpetuation of the "white" "black" etc. labels for "racial" groups is perpetuating this racism problem. Just forgive and forget... and I say that coming from a country that has suffered quite a lot at the hands of colonialism. Moaning about the past isn't going to get us anywhere, and only perpetuates hate.
RACISM IN CHESS. White moves first

If we're going to be serious, chess is both racist. classist, and sexist which is rooted in it's history. It's been a sexist sport which bashes on women who play the game and its a game primarily dominated by men. The game/competition secluded women and men primarily because FIDE officials probably thought women were inferior and couldn't play as well, (which they can). It's classist throughout history as the sport was prominently domineered by cis white men and poorer individuals never could afford lessons and racist by the same ideology where cis white men controlled most wealth and were able to learn the sport.

i personal i think that it is great that white goes first it accurately represents society :}:}:}:}:}:}:}

Racism? What about sexism?
Why are the pieces called chessMEN?
How can we be sure that women are represented in pawn structures?
They aren't called "chessmen", they are called "chess pieces."
End of discussion.
I did the test. It does land mostly heads
