Rant: Playing as Guest is so much better than playing unrated games when logged in

I actually did that as well, play as a guest, but I encounter a lot of abandoned games or stalling, so I find that searching unrated (when I want to) is a better experience

So it wasn't just my impression. It's quite curious, given the huge number of users. Too bad, unrated play should be encouraged.
Playing as a guest doesn't allow you to select a rating range, while I want to play against opponents of my level. So it is uninteresting.

Request an unrated game. Play> Custom> set parameters.
Well I think OP's point is that not too many people play unrated, which is true in my experience.

Depends on the time rating presumably. Have played over 20,000 unrated games via 3-minute blitz while logged in. Don't have problems getting games, but can depend on the time of day or timezone sometimes. Can have a few abandonments in a row if people aren't paying attention / site doesn't make game-start noise / rating difference is too high, but generally there's a reasonable pool of players that's around for games.

Correction: not many people play unrated in whatever small rating constraints you have set.
When I want to play unrated, +- inf works just fine.

Yeah probably lol. I do think there are a lot more unrated seeks outside my typical search parameters -- dunno about OP.

YOU HAVE 20000 BLITZ GAMES!? What on earth how long you been playing for!?
I don't think that's that many compared to some. E.g., pretty sure I've seen profiles with over 400,000 games. Maybe they just played bullet, idk. Been playing on here for about two years, so averages to a couple of hours a day. Which is usually about two hours more than I intend.
