rapid, blitz, bullet comparative rating

ok so very similar. but i've seen some having similar rating in blitz and bullet. those two are close maybe.
I never really understand why there is a difference in ratings between the three formats. Yes, in rapid you have a much longer time to assess the board compared to blitz and bullet and therefore much less likely to make lots of blunders, but likewise so does your opponent. So you will probably play better chess in the rapid format but your opponent will also be harder to beat for the exact same reason. I only play rapid though so I don't have any experience in the shorter formats, only from what I see masters play.

Bullet chess is more about instinct rather than finding the best moves to play-- it's about having experience and playing what you've seen and expect. Rapid and blitz players will analyze the board before moving, but bullet players will expect their opponent to play something and act based on that (premoves and hovering).

Just liked to add that there is an element of technique and mechanics that successful bullet players possess. They can pre-move so well. I’m sure the right mouse helps with the mechanics hit they have a lot of experience under their belt.
I play using the iPhone app so not being able to hover pieces and quick pre-moves is a disadvantage.

do not play rapid. bullet highest blitz second rapid lowest. i do not like rapid because people stall

How many games of each do you need for confident data?
I have 800 each of bullet and blitz but only 100 games of rapid. 1100, 1175 and 1200 respectively.
I am going to shift my focus to blitz and rapid. I just cannot maintain the accuracy and speed with bullet.

it's harder to grind rapid because of how long it takes to finish a game... also all the sweats come in around 2100 lmao

i also struggle a lot in bullet.

you can still hover on the , premove too, and i find my fingers way better than a mouse

I pre move 1-6 moves on the computer in bullet U definitely can’t do that on mobile
I’m only 800 bullet though
what is the kind of ratio we're looking at for any player for the three time controls?
like i've rapid 1656, blitz 1419, bullet 1244 right now. i play the 10|0, 5|0 and 1|0 games only. i know in rapid we have higher ratings but in blitz and bullet do we have similar ratings on an average? and in rapid how much inflated the rating is?
any other discussion related to the ratings is also welcome.
