Yes, bullet ratings were/are inflated and the site seems to be constantly working on putting this right. You are the same player you ever were, the number changed is all.
Rating adjustment at chess.com?

How about blitz rating ? Been playing lots of 5+2s and had a stable rating of around 1550 (+/- 30) for months. In the last days it continues to drop, I'm below 1450 now, still dropping and 1480ish opponents seem to be much tougher than 1600is players a few weeks ago.
I wonder if this is a personal phase of weakness or if the ratings are being adjusted in the last 1-2 weeks ? Did anyone notice something similar ?

I think that when, for example, someone has a 1600 live, standard play rating but a 2400 rating...wheter it is turn-based or speed chess...something is rotten in Denmark.
But...that's common on the internet chess.
Yeah, I know it's about the pool of players and blah...blah. Still rotten, nonetheless.
Hello. When i started to play at this site in the autumn of 2010, my rating soon got to about 2300, and at times as high as 2400, in 1 minute games. I had no problems with defending this rating. At some point, I had a long period were I didn't play any games, and when i returned after this, my rating started dropping big, as low as under 2000 actually, and even below 1900. This huge drop in rating has been permanent, so i can't just put the blame on being rusty at the time I returned. My question is this: Has there been some kind of rating adjustment, that i missed out on? Thank you were much.
