If I were moving to NY I'd probably sell my car tongue.png

"no one drives in NY there's too much traffic"

Frankly it sounds like a dude (which I guess is you) blowing off some steam.

Definitely a reasonable way to do so, but I feel strangely compelled to suggest something else like... I don't even know. Yoga? Community involvement? Get a pet?

Being pissed while driving is fine, I guess I'm just imagining it getting to the point that it makes your day more miserable instead of helping... you know... like you might find yourself making videos and posting about it online tongue.png

It's to get the speed limits raised. I have sent them to the state senate and started petitions. Nothing else gives me pleasure as speed. I would gladly give up a 400 million mega millions jackpot for the right to legally speed. I intended to cause traffic problems to show how ridiculous the speed limits are. In the near future, I will do this with 4 friends and block every lane. And please don't make ridiculous comments like that on my threads. I will block you if you do.

Wow, I guess you're really committed.

Well for sure I think 50-60 is too slow for any road outside of city/town stuff. If you have to drive many miles on such a road it's really annoying, so I get where you're coming from... having said that, I think even you have to admit you're... uncommonly motivated concerning this topic wink.png

2 people here were clocked at 272 km/h

I've never heard of an 1800 dollar speeding ticket.

And in any case speeding tickets aren't mandatory. If you have to choose between food and speeding tickets it's easy to simply go the speed limit.

You're the hero we deserve, but not the one we need right now, so we'll hunt you, because you can take it. Because you're not our hero, you're a silent guardian, a watchful protector, a knight rider.

Yeah, was going for something in between by playfulling mocking you because I get the feeling if I mock you outright it'll piss you off.

That's an odd way of going about it though......

I heard in Canada there are no roads faster than 100 kph which is ~60mph

That would be dreadfully slow.

I feel so offended! xD (Not true btw, usually you can go faster)

Oh ok happy.png

What are some common speed limits outside of cities in Canada?

llamonade

1 week car impounding? WTH.

Once I didn't have the updated insurance card in my car, so the cop had it towed.

I was at the impound place 4 hours later with the updated insurance info and got it out.

Big waste of time and money.

And I'm not anti cop or anti tickets or anything, but honestly, the officer looked like he was high on some kind of stimulants.

Thee_Ghostess_Lola

So did u hafta pay the insurance tix ?....'cuz they say that that one is usually really expensive.

llamonade

No, I showed them I had insurance and they dropped the ticket.

I still had to pay the $50 (I think that's what it was) to get my car out though.

llamonade

Ok, so for a story where I got off easy.

I was speeding at 2AM and was pulled over.

I didn't know it at the time, but that's when the bars closed and the cop was looking for drunk drivers.

He didn't even ask for my license or anything. Just shined a bright flashlight in my face and asked me questions like "have you been drinking" and each time I answered there followed long awkward silence of 10-20 seconds.

Finally he says something like "you're lucky I'm only out for drunks tonight, stop speeding" and just walks away. No breath test, no other test, just took my word for it. I guess he could tell I was sober.
